Ahhh. Now it makes sense. Your registered company name has had me confused for years yet the reasoning was quite literal and rather obvious if only I had joined the dots! Nice one

Hey Ryan,

Thanks for the feedback. From our perspective, we pay a lot to import the authentic ingredients used (and nailing the complexity that come with that process) - which is a big part of our story and quality proposition. We believe a large cheese pizza at $24 or a pepperoni at $28 to be split between 2-4 people represents very good value. Sure there are cheaper pizza alternatives out there for people whose decisions are made based on a price point, but that's not our market or our customer base.

Hi, Great story, however I have a question.

The majority of the contents of these pizzas are pretty basic, the base/sauce/cheese are pretty minimal to cost, the only thing really expensive are the meats.

I understand these pizzas are huge and made there and therefore taste great, but I find $28 a bit too steep to buy a pizza. The concept of paying per slice is not the same if you want a whole one.

I think it should be brought down to around $22, they are bigger then say a Hells pizza but the extra cost from on of their Gourmet ones would suffice.

Business is business I suppose....

Just wondering if you guys are looking for staff for the new Hamilton pizzeria yet? I'm a student at Wintec and would LOVE to work at Sal's part time :)

Hey Jess - we are working through those details soon. We will be looking for both full and part time counter persons for Hamilton shortly. Drop a comment here in about 2 weeks and I'll let you know what to do, thanks.
